My Smart Moves Educational Series presents our new

Build a Better Back Course

BackCareCourse

Free-Back-Care Course Description

David Dansereau, licensed physical therapist and nutritionist is now offering his tried and tested back pain self-treatment program for people of all ages and fitness levels in an easy to follow, informative online course.

How it Works

This course is about self-help - taking expert advice and applying what you feel makes sense for your own condition. This course will demonstrate how simple exercises and sound nutrition can make all the difference to your feelings of well being. Whether your back pain has come on suddenly or gradually, whether your bad back is severe or mild, or even if you are not currently experiencing back pain but simply want to learn strategies to build a better back and core, this course may help you. You’ll discover there is a great deal you can do yourself to relieve pain and actively manage your own condition. This course may be useful, regardless of your age.

The Facts

80% of all cases of lower back pain are classified as 'mechanical back pain'. This includes general back ache, degenerative disc disease, slipped disc and sciatica. The management of these conditions lies in effective and timely therapeutic home exercise program and activity modification, as well as proper nutrition, rest and recovery. Most importantly, building a better back is about having the right resources to offer you the skill power to succeed.
This course may help you understand whether you have a sprain or strain of any of the spine's structure or muscles or whether you may be suffering with an age related condition. Whatever the cause, this course will offer you suggestions and sample therapeutic exercise programs to help you manage your condition. It will also give you clear guidance on the signs of a more severe problem that should be investigated further.

Make Smart Moves-Be Proactive in Your Back Care

For those who haven't developed back pain, but are experiencing back stiffness, or those who simply want to look after their back and preserve its health, you can focus on the proactive back exercises in the Smart Moves section. In this section, you’ll discover why now is the time to do your daily back exercises even before any signs of pain are present.

Improve your Posture

If you need help with proper working posture and particularly good sitting habits and desk based posture advice, you'll find this in the Support Your Spine section of the course.
